Seven Months

Today Brooklynn is seven months and I can't believe how fast she is growing.  She is well on her way to crawling, she is rocking but hasn't quite gotten the confidence to start moving yet.  Brooklynn has had such a busy summer with Nick working in Greenville.  Nick finishes up his internship on Friday and then we will be back in Chapel Hill.  Through all the traveling and moving back and forth Brooklynn has done great, but it will be nice to get her back into her daily routine and sleep schedule.

Zoo

Last Friday we took B to the zoo and we stopped by the playground on the way out.  As you can see, Brooklynn really just wanted to take a nap!

Here is one of the pictures of B and Kylie that we took last Thursday. It was nearly impossible to get both girls to look at the camera at once. This was the best they could do!

New Toys!

I finally tracked down a bag of pit balls after searching for a few weeks!  Brooklynn has had a great time playing with them.  My cousin Meredith suggested that we also get B a musical learning table so she can practice standing.  Nick and I went to Toys R Us tonight and found a cute one.  B did a a fabulous job standing!

Earlier today we went with Meredith, Mimi and Aunt Shay to get Kylie's pictures taken!  Kylie was very entertaining and we took a few pics of the two girls together.  I'll post the picture of the two of them soon!

Trip to Rabun Gap

We took Brooklynn to Rabun Gap for the first time this weekend.  We went to Tallulah Falls on Saturday for Nana's Family Reunion. After lunch, we took B and her cousins Amelia and Kylie down to the river for some pictures. It was impossible to get all three of them to look at the camera at once, but we still tried!  We spent the rest of the day at Papa and Nana's house while the girls played.  B had a great time watching  Mia and Kylie playing Hide and Seek.  I'm pretty sure Kylie and Mia also had a good time going through B's toy basket.  Kylie was even kind enough to name B's stuffed frog "Bluetooth."  I'm not sure where she came up with that name, but I have a good idea she has been listening to her Daddy!  Sunday morning we all got up and had breakfast at the Dillard House.  We walked next door to the stables after breakfast to show B the horses.  She wasn't real impressed but did find the dirt road fascinating as you can see from the picture. First Visit to the Library

We took Brooklynn to the library today for the first time!  She did well inside even though the library was packed.  B didn't make a sound and just looked around at the people and books.   Once we got home with all the books and DVDs, Brooklynn had a fun time playing and reading!  So far her favorite book is "The Doghouse" by: Jan Thomas, but the Chatterbox DVD (works with speech development) has been the biggest hit.
