Smiles from Riverbanks Zoo

Well, it turns out that I wasn't as well as I thought in my last post. Sunday morning I went to the doc and found out I have strep. I must have infected a million people at the zoo, but in my defense I haven't even had a sore throat!

Here are some pics of Brooklynn enjoying the animals at the zoo on Saturday.

Her favorites are always the giraffes. She picked out another stuffed giraffe in the gift shop to bring home. Click on the pic and you can see the baby giraffe right over Nick's shoulder.

We had to go back to the turtles twice. B even told Nick tonight at bedtime that turtles eat vegetables.

She also remembered to tell Nick tonight that flamingos are pink!

I was impressed with the flamingos. Brooklynn preferred the fish nearby.

We knew our trip to Columbia was a success when we finally got back on the road and Brooklynn said, "I love animals. I love the zoo!" It made us smile.
