Kids that Care

My poor sweet Hayden is a sick boy.  He has had a cough for about three weeks now, and has been to the doctor several times.  He finally was diagnosed with rsv on Friday and started breathing treatments. He had a rough night last night and went back to the doctor this morning.  The doc assured us that he is on the down side of this and that we just have to wait it out because it takes a while for the virus to clear up.

The good news is that the breathing treatments seem to be helping.

In other news, I thought I would share what my class and school worked on Wednesday before school let out for the holidays.

The National Parent Teacher Association is asking for paper made snowflakes to be used to help decorate the school that the Sandy Hook students will be attending in January.  My students were very upset on Monday when they returned to school after the shooting.  Obviously some of them had seen way too much news coverage.  I thought this was a great way for us to show we care about those kids in Connecticut.  Lots of other classes at my school volunteered to help and we ended up with hundreds if snowflakes.

Check it out:
