Watch out, Hope Solo. Well, not really. Today B started her first soccer practice and game. She has played soccer through the Happy Feet program at school, but this is an actual team with games on Sundays.
We weren't sure that B was even going to make her first game today. She had a rough night last night and threw up a couple of times. This morning, however, she woke up and felt fine. We were going to keep her home, but she insisted on going. So we went.
Below are a few things we learned today:
1- Never, never, ever take B to soccer without a nap. She only had about three, maybe four crying fits. Sleepy girl? I think so.
2- Brooklynn may, but probably will not be a future soccer star. Timid? Yes! She likes to watch the action from the other end of the field..
3- What? No Hands? When she did get caught up in play Brooklynn just wanted to pick up the ball! I can relate, I never really cared for kicking a ball either.
4- Next week I need to track down B's buddy Grayson. We asked they be on the same team, but that didn't happen. Grayson's mom told me that he also wanted to pick up the ball. When the coaches fussed at him to not touch it, his solution was to just sit on the ball! Haha! I can't wait to watch him next week!
B's next game is Sunday at 3:40! More pics to come. Go Daisy Green Dino's!
