What an eventful 24 hours we have had at our house. Yesterday afternoon we went to Babies R Us to buy outlet covers and decided to grab something to eat on the way home. Unfortunately, we stopped by Wendy's (for the last time I might add). I noticed at the time my hamburger tasted a little funny, so I gave the remainder of it to Tugboat. All afternoon I was feeling sick and then last night things got worse. Tug also got sick. After I had thrown up about 12 times, I called Mom and Dad who jumped in the car and headed up here. I was hesitant to go to the hospital because I didn't want B around all the sick people and we had no one here to babysit her. Around 10:15 my hands and legs started going numb and I knew that I couldn't wait any longer and we woke up B and headed to the hospital. Brooklynn was such a good girl. She never once cried or got fussy. She just sat in Nick's lap and looked around. Poor Nick carried her around for at least three hours. My parents finally arrived at the hospital around 2:00 and took B back home and put her to bed. I just can't imagine another baby that would have gotten over being woken up at 10:30 and kept up until 2:30 and never once protest. She is such a sweet girl. Nick woke up around 4 this morning and threw up. This was upsetting because today he was suppose to leave for DC with one of his classes to sit in on the Supreme Court Tuesday morning and then meet Justice Alito. Dad took Nick to the doctor first thing this morning and found out that he has a stomach bug. Luckily the doctor was able to give him some medicine and he headed on up to DC this afternoon. Dad went back to Greenville this morning and Mom is going to stick around here and take care of Brooklynn until I am feeling a little better. How lucky we are to have such wonderful parents! I would have hated for Nick to miss out on meeting Justice Alito because I am unable to keep up with Brooklynn.
