Wonderful Wednesday

Today was a productive day off for us! B stayed home with me and caught up on some sleep. I got the Christmas decorations out and started to decorate. I'm excited to finally be able to use all the Christmas shower presents I got back before Nick and I got married. I've never had a house to decorate before now.

Right in the middle of my decorating, the UPS man showed up with our new Christmas stockings!

Brooklynn and I also met Mimi for lunch and did a little shopping. B got some much needed clothes and new jammies. Here is B running through the house tonight in her new elephant jammies.

After dinner we decided to go see Santa.

Last year, if you remember, Brooklynn was not a fan of Santa. This year was even worse! We didn't even make it to Santa's lap before she flipped out. So Mimi and Pops took her to Build-A Bear instead!

Brooklynn had a hard time deciding which animal to stuff at Build A Bear. Nick finally made an executive decision and picked the shaggy dog. Brooklynn was curious about the process but became really interested when it was time to pick out her dog's shoes. She went from one pair to the next over and over again. For those of you that don't know, B LOVES shoes. She goes to bed with shoes and entertains herself for hours taking her shoes off and on and trying on everyone else's shoes. So when it came time to name her animal I said, "B what do you want to name your dog?" Appropriately, B shouted out "Shoes!" So we now have a new stuffed animal called Shoes. I will definitely tell Santa to stop by Build A Bear to pick up more shoes for Shoes.
