One of the many things Brooklynn enjoys doing is getting into the kitchen cabinets. We invested in a gate to block off the kitchen last weekend only to find out that it wouldn't work with the molding around our door. This past weekend we decided to try cabinet locks. Once we got them home we realized they had to be screwed in which we obviously can't do in our apartment. So for now we are stuck with a little girl who loves to get into the drawers. Today she found the oven mitts!
On a different note, I think it is safe to say that B really loves her new class. Today when I picked her up she didn't seem too excited to see me. She didn't want to leave her new friends and all the excitement. Her teacher went on and on about how much B loves to dance. As we were walking out the manager of the Goddard School stopped me and mentioned how proud she is of Brooklynn and that she has transitioned very well into the Little Sprouts class. Ms. Kathy also came out to give B a kiss goodbye and said that she has seen Brooklynn dancing away in her new class. She said that yesterday she was outside and B came over and wanted a hug. Kathy hugged her and said, "Go back to class" and B went straight back to her teacher. Of course, we all know that B didn't know what Kathy said, but Kathy likes to think that she did. Here is today's Memorable Moment from B's new teacher Toya:
"Brooklynn really socializes well with her peers. She is a great role model as well."
Haha, I'm sure it is only a matter of time before B throws a fit.
