A Very Special Guest Has Arrived!

Our very special guest, Elf on the Shelf, has finally arrived! Brooklynn didn't seem too pleased when I read her the story of a very special elf who was sent from Santa to watch her every move. He will be reporting nightly to Santa on Brooklynn's behavior for the day. He will return the next day to spy on B from a new location in the house.

Brooklynn spent several minutes just looking at him today. Then she smacked me on the face and said, "No!" I took this to mean that she isn't very happy about our new guest. I told her that our new Elf friend isn't going to have a very good report tonight for Santa after she goes to bed.

As for now B doesn't seem ready to name Elf, but tomorrow is a new day. I'll keep you posted on what she decides!
