Busy B!

We sure kept B busy today. This morning we had our very first Farr Family Volunteer Day! We want to try and teach B the importance of giving to those who are less fortunate, so today was the beginning of this lesson. We volunteered with Loaves & Fishes this morning. We drove to a couple of different grocery stores, picked up tons of baked goods and delivered them to the Greer Soup Kitchen. Brooklynn came along for the ride and helped us pack the car before falling asleep.
She wasn't much help!

After we finished with our route we headed to the pool. Brooklynn really shocked us today. Last time we went to the pool she was really uncomfortable and it was a challenge just for her to walk across the baby pool. Today was a different story. Our neighbors had their little girl, who is three, at the pool today. She was jumping in and swimming by herself and Brooklynn just sat and watched her for a little while before informing us, "I can swim too!" After that it was on. She even jumped off the side into Nick's arms all by herself. This may not seem like a big deal for many 2 year olds, but this is a big step for B! It seems she is finally becoming more comfortable around the water.
You can see the little girl jumping in the water behind B. Don't worry, Nick is sitting right next to B on the step you just can't see him.

We headed to Yogurt Mountain after dinner tonight. Nick had never been, so he was eager to see what all the fuss was about.
Needless to say, B was exhausted tonight and went right to sleep.
