Hayden had his first doctor's appointment last Thursday. When he was born he weighed 9lbs and when we left the hospital he was 8 lbs 10 oz. so I was eager to see how he was progressing.
Dad came along to drive and help me carry the car seat. Our visit was short and sweet. I have to say that I really love Hayden's new doctor, Dr. Dobson. He saw Hayden in the hospital, so it was nice that we already knew him. He last checked Hayden out on Tuesday so he was already up to date on Hayden's progress.
Here are some pics as Hayden got ready for his second car ride.
Here are Hayden's stats from Week One:
Weight: 8lbs 13ozs - 72nd percentile
Height: 21 in.- 82nd percentile
Yay for gaining a couple ounces in the day and half since we left the hospital. I'm not sure about the length. Either Hayden shrunk a 1/2 inch or somebody messed up a measurement. I can't imagine it's easy to measure a newborn, but we'll see how he measures up when we go back next Friday. The goal is to be over his birth weight. I don't think that will be a problem because Hayden sure isn't going to miss a bottle.
Here is a pic of Hayden this morning. I'm pretty excited that he loves the swing. Brooklynn didn't care for it and preferred the bouncer, so we didn't get to use it much the first time around.
Even though it looks like he always has a paci in his mouth, he really doesn't use it very much. Mostly, after meal times which seems to be the only time I can grab the camera!
Hayden is starting to open his eyes more and more. He is always looking for Brooklynn when he hears her voice. They say newborns recognize voices from being in the womb. I guess Brooklynn's would be one that he heard all the time besides my own. Although I'm pretty sure there are a couple of kids in my class that he would recognize as well if that's the case. ;)
