We had a busy weekend here at the Farr household. On Saturday Nick's sister Katie, my mom, and I threw a shower for Nick's youngest sister, Kayla. Most of the day on Saturday we spent cleaning and working out in the yard to try and get our house in shape to have company. Thanks to Mimi for watching B. We quickly found out Saturday morning that the kind of cleaning we were doing is impossible with a two year old around. The shower was great, and Kayla and Justin got lots of nice things.
This morning we went to church and B had a blast at Sunday school. When we asked her what she learned she said she learned about, "Mary!" She also got a huge palm leaf to wave around. She had a fantastic time walking through the church swinging that thing at everyone. She also keeps randomly shouting out "Jesus" for no apparent reason. I guess this means she was paying attention.

After church we pulled into the driveway only to discover it was covered with five HUGE boxes. I immediately thought that the UPS man had made a big mistake and that Nick and I were going to have to drag those things to a neighbor's house. Once I got out of the car I realized that it was a new playground set for B. Hmmmm, so that is the reason Dad wouldn't answer the phone this morning! I called Mom and Dad and with a big thank you for Brooklynn's new playground.
We are very interested to see how long it will take Nick to put all of this together:
After all of the morning excitement we headed to Kid's Planet to meet up with Gram, Aunt Katie, Uncle Jason and Marlee for an Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately we had our timing wrong and were an hour early. After about 20 minutes I could tell that B was tired and getting red (she unfortunately gets her fair and sensitive skin from me) so we opted to head on home for a nap. No worries though, more Easter egg hunts to come this week!
