Yesterday I picked B up from school kind of late because I had so much to do at work to wrap up the year. When I walked in Brooklynn was upset to see me. She ran up to me and shouted, "I want to go to Miss Mary's room!" Apparently they were about to combine her class with the older one since it was so late, and B was looking forward to it. Well she had a major meltdown bc she didn't want to go home and she let me know about it ALL the way home. I guess it's a good thing that she loves being at school. It also reinforced to me that we are doing the right thing by still sending her to school this summer while I'm home. We made this decision for several reasons, but mainly because we don't want her to miss out on all the summer fun and learning with her buds. Last summer she got super bored with me at home, and I really struggled to keep her entertained.
Pops and Mimi came over once B calmed down. She was patiently looking out the window for them when Tug started barking. She looked over at him, patted him on the back and said, "It's ok, Buddy! Mimi and Pops are coming." It still catches me off guard sometimes when she speaks in complete sentences. She's growing up!

We rode out to Powdersville to find a launch site for kayaking once Nick got home, and on the way back we found this great little pizza place. Brooklynn gobbled up her cheese pizza and enjoyed finally getting to see Mimi and Pops this week.
