- When I picked B up today her class was outside. I walked out and she said, "Hey" and waved. I got her hand and as we were leaving she turned around to her friends, waved and said "Bu-bye." She then blew them a kiss. That must have been something she picked up at school because we sure haven't worked on blowing kisses yet and I was shocked to see her do this.
- As I was feeding B dinner tonight, she threw up her hands and said, "All done." I said, "You don't want anymore?" She answered, "No." Then I said, "Would you like some bread?" Her response was "Yes!" It felt weird to have a conversation in which she actually responds. I like it!
- Ms. Kema told Nick this morning that B absolutely refuses to drink out of a bottle at school. They have to pour the milk into one of her sippy cups. We usually send two sippy cups and a bottle, but it looks like we need to switch to all sippy cups. Ms. Kema seems to think that B only wants to drink out of a sippy cup because that is what her older classmates are doing.
- Ms. Kathy, Brooklynn's old teacher, told Nick this morning that every day when B's class is outside that B runs to Kathy's outside classroom door and bangs on it until she comes out. Once Kathy comes out and says hello, she tells Brooklynn to go back to her new class and B turns around and goes back.
- Nick pulled up to daycare and the car next to it had a dog inside. B pointed to him and said, "Dog." Up until this point every dog we saw was "Boat Boat." I did notice on her school progress report that they had been working with animal flash cards.
