Today I received my diploma in the mail only to be disappointed that NC State only sent the diploma and not the cover! As much money as my parents paid for graduate school you would think that NC State could at least include the diploma cover. I guess if I would have walked in December I would have gotten the cover. I would like to point out however, that I did not walk when I graduated from Clemson, but still received a cover. It irritated me just a bit only because the corner of the diploma was bent and I worked hard for that piece of paper! Oh well, guess that this is only fair since I slid by my last semester without buying a very expensive parking sticker.
Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that Brooklynn has started throwing little temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way. I always thought I had at least until the end of the year before Brooklynn started her "Terrible Twos" phase. I asked her teacher today if she had noticed it. Ms. Toya said that she has noticed it once and that it is something she is picking up from her peers at school. Brooklynn's morning class has kids who are close to two years old and I have witnessed many crying fits from other children when I pick her up in the afternoons. Little does Brooklynn know that I deal with kids every day who like to test their boundaries and then act out when things don't go their way. She is fighting a losing battle. For now, we will redirect her attention and not give in to her demands. She knows that NO means NO. I guess we just take the good with the bad when it comes to day care. With that being said, here is B's Memorable Moment from today:
"Brooklynn had a great day and she seemed eager to be at school. She really enjoyed art."
I noticed that her art activity today was using natural sponges and pastel paints to make artwork similar to Monet. The weekly theme this week is Monet, so all her activities are based on Monet.
