Thank goodness it is finally Friday! It has been a long and busy week.



Today I picked B up from school and she played hard all afternoon.
She kept trying to put her foot on the gears. I'm not sure why.

Brooklynn's playroom looked like this at the end of the night.


She did really well last night at our Black History Celebration. She sat with our school social worker at the front desk while my class performed and she never made a peep. I must say that I was surprised that she let a complete stranger hold her that long while I was nowhere in sight. By the end of the night she was letting some of the middle schoolers hold her and she even held her hands out to be held by one of my former parents. That completely shocked me. Needless to say, she felt right at home by the end of the night. We left a little early and I got her all strapped into the car only to find out that I was blocked in!! I was a little irritated because it takes a lot of effort to get in B in the car along with all her stuff by myself in the dark when it is freezing outside. Luckily, I just turned around and drove behind the building and went out the entrance. My four wheel drive came in handy for once! We've had a lot of rain and it was a mud pit. Good thing I wasn't in Nick's car or no telling how long we would have been there last night. Brooklynn came straight home and went to bed but didn't sleep well. Hopefully tonight will be better! We have a big day planned tomorrow, so a little girl is going to need her sleep!
