What an exciting Friday Brooklynn had today! First, we went to Dove Tree lake and fed the ducks. After sampling the bread herself, B finally realized that she is suppose to throw the bread to the ducks. She spent most of the time telling the ducks, "No, no, no!" when they started hissing at one another.
Later on in the afternoon we went to the mall. I left the stroller in Chapel Hill and let's just leave it at that. Lesson learned.
Tonight Brooklynn, Mimi, and I headed to the Bethel Bash at Mom's school! Mom had to work from 7-8 selling tickets, so B and I roamed around and watched all the rides and excitement (again with no stroller). We also worked VERY hard at scoring some loot in the silent auction. Brooklynn came out a winner on two items.
The first was this awesome bubble basket:
For those of you that don't know, B can be entertained ALL DAY LONG with bubbles. Reason enough to bid on this (with Mimi's money!) Don't worry we had our limit, so we kept our eyes on all the items we wanted throughout the night.
We also scored this:
I didn't realize at the time, but this basket is awesome! An 85.00 value and we got it for 45! Brooklynn was flirting in line with the lady who made it. She kept tapping her on the shoulder just to see if she would turn around. We played the stranger tapping game several different times with several different strangers.
The biggest score of the night is below:
Yes that is right, a Dabo Swinney signed football for Nick. I hovered over that table for two hours and put the final bid in with 5 seconds left. Another lady thought she had it with 30 seconds left, but my perseverance paid off! Mom and Dad gave the football to Nick as a graduation present! What an awesome surprise! Needless to say, we are all are very proud of him!
