Welcome Back!

After a rough past week, I'm back. Last week was my first week of school and I found it very difficult to learn the ins and outs of my new school while trying to deal with all that was going on at home with Nana's death. Thanks to all the people who sent messages, cards, emails, flowers, food and texts. We appreciate the thoughtfulness. Nana was very special to us and it was hard to let her go.

Tomorrow is my first day with my new class. I finally had an opportunity today to get tomorrow's lessons completed and I will have to finish the rest of the week's lessons tomorrow. I feel unprepared. Those of you that have worked with me know that I like schedules, rules and procedures. I don't like to get off track and I really don't like things thrown at me at the last minute. I need structure in my day! With that being said, my goal tomorrow is to take things as they come and just go with the flow. No worries! We will see how I do with that! :)

Brooklynn was sick last week with an upper respiratory infection and missed Tuesday-Thursday of school. Luckily, Nick has not started work yet so he was able to stay home with her on those days. Nick starts his first day tomorrow! He is very excited to finally get out in the working world.

I need to apologize for missing a very special birthday last week. Our niece and Brooklynn's sweet cousin Marlee turned two! Unfortunately, we were unable to attend her party on Saturday due to Nana's funeral.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY MAR! Uncle Nick, Aunt Jill and B promise we will not miss anymore birthdays!

Just as a side note for all of you who feel it necessary to pick on me for my lack of skill in the kitchen. I cut up two cantaloupes today after a cutting lesson from Mom and then I made two casseroles that are now safely wrapped in my freezer and ready to heat up for dinner this week! Thanks to cousin Meredith for her recipe! Anyone else with any good freezer ideas, send them my way. jbfarr11@yahoo. com
