Peacock Strides for Babies 5K

This morning I ran the Second Annual Peacock Strides for Babies 5k to help raise money for SIDS research. Nick and I ran this race together last year. On second thought, I wouldn't say we ran it together because he took off right at the beginning and I didn't see him the whole three miles. Nick wasn't interested in running it again, so I ran the race with a few friends from work. I was a little disappointed with the amount of people who ran the race this year. Last year there were over 500 runners, but today there seemed to be more people standing on the side of the road watching. Great if you are running, not so great for the SIDS foundation. However, this is still my favorite race! We had a fabulous time!

Kelly, me, Kate, Monica, and half of Kristy (she got cut off by the picture taker, her mom!)

After the race Nick and I took Brooklynn to the Poinsett Club for the Character Breakfast. I have lots of pictures to post, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I've been staring at this computer screen for the last hour writing language arts lesson plans and trying to come up with a way to make proper adjectives exciting. Needless to say, I'm tired of this computer so the Character Breakfast will have to wait.
