Cleveland Park Fun

Yesterday Blake's girlfriend, Kaley and I took Brooklynn to Cleveland Park. We drove by only to see that every child in the upstate was playing on the playground. We circled back around and saw another smaller playground with only a few kids in a different part of the park and decided that it would be a better place for B to play.

Brooklynn had a blast on the playground. She loves, loves, loves to slide. She will try to climb any slide no matter how high, just so she can go back down it. I taught her yesterday how to walk up the ladder stairs (with a little help) and then slide. She loved it! We did have one little problem when an older child (about 4) wanted to also use the slide. Brooklynn immediately started crying and yelling, "Mine!" Brooklynn has read many books about sharing, sung songs about sharing, watched tv shows about sharing and taken part in many conversations about sharing so she knows what it means. We stood at the bottom, let the little girl slide and then clapped our hands and yelled, "Yay!" Brooklynn did a fantastic job and the two girls continued to take turns over and over and over again. Yay for Brooklynn!!! I'm proud of her for not throwing a fit when it was the other little girl's turn!

Brooklynn also walked up a step for the first time yesterday without using her hands to pull up on something or bending down and using her knees. This is surprising because she has only been climbing on stairs since we moved in a month ago, it was great to see her take a step so easily!

After we went to the park we met up with Mimi for lunch and then B took a long nap when we got home. I had to wake her up bc Nick and I had a low country broil to attend for his work. Brooklynn spent the night with Pops and Mimi again and had a great time! Thanks, Pops and Mimi for the help!

Here is a picture of B when I woke her up from her nap:
Judging by that hair 'do somebody was sleeping good!
