Saturday Morning Updates

Updates:

1. We are going on one week with no air upstairs. The home warranty we thought we had turned out to be a waste so we are trying to decide whether to put a very expensive band aid on a unit that is older than dirt and will need to be replaced in the near future or just replace the whole dang thing now. Neither option seems very appealing at the moment. A second company is coming Monday to give us another estimate.

2. B and I are still with my parents while Nick is doing some last minute studying. He has been camped out downstairs(at our house) and sleeping on the couch for the last week. I guess it turned out to be a good thing that we couldn't get that comfy new couch upstairs earlier in the summer.

3. Nick leaves for Columbia Sunday and take the Bar (Monday-Wednesday.) Say a little prayer for him. He has spent around 13 hours a day studying since May!

Brooklynn Updates:

1. Yesterday Mimi asked B what she wanted for breakfast. She quickly replied, "SAUSAGE!" This seems to be her favorite food at the moment.

2. As we rode through town yesterday B repeated the whole alphabet as I said it.

3. We have been reading an Olivia counting book from the library and B can occasionally get the next number as we count up to ten. This is surprising because we haven't really worked on numbers other than reading that book.

4. B's favorite book this week and last: Mail Harry to the Moon
A South Carolina Children's Book Award winner for the upcoming school year.

5. B had a "play date" with Caroline yesterday. Caroline is my best bud Jessica's niece. I put "play date" in quotations because they didn't really play. B mostly ran around and threw toys on the floor while shouting "Mine." I'm glad to see she is playing so well with others (note the sarcasm here.) Yesterday just reminded me why she needs to be back at daycare and surrounded by peers every day. Caroline also goes to Brooklynn's daycare, so they will get to see more of each other. Hopefully B will redeem herself!

6. I made the cutest video of B yesterday and it won't upload onto the blog. I will continue trying.

7. More pictures coming soon. My camera is in the playroom at home and I keep forgetting to grab it when I make my daily visit.

8. The other night Mimi said to B, "I know a sleepy girl" and B looked at her and said, "Not me!"
