19 Months

TODAY BROOKS IS 19 MONTHS and she surprises us everyday with all the things she can do!

Brooklynn got some new socks and shoes today in preparation for starting school next week. She can only wear shoes that cover her toes and heels so we had some shopping to do today! We went to Target and found some cute polka dotted socks. It was a little strange to no longer buy B's socks in the baby section, but in the little girl section instead. We then headed to our favorite children's shoe store, Footloose, and settled on this pair.

About a month ago, Mimi bought Brooks two pairs of shoes from Footloose and we were shocked to see she wore a size 6. Today we had to buy her a size 7. Brooks is tall for her age (99th percentile) but she has really big feet! I'm sure she will grow into them!

After we ran a few errands, we headed to the library so that Nick could get a book. I had just gotten B six new books earlier in the week, so B played on the computer and with puzzles while Daddy browsed the nonfiction section. I was surprised to see in the corner a section of big books for kids! Brooklynn has been really into "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" this week and can identify all the animals so I was super happy to see the big book, "Polar Bear, Polar Bear." Of course I headed right to the desk to check it out!

We read it several times tonight and we are working on identify the animals in "Polar Bear, Polar Bear!"
