A Downhill Friday

My Friday started off pretty well. Mom and I went to get manicures and pedicures while Nick had some Brooklynn time (even though B napped the whole time I was gone.)

Below is a picture of B that I snapped this morning when I was getting ready. She found my bathing suit top and was trying to put it on!

After lunch we headed to Kid's Planet at Century Park. What a great park. B had a nice time even though it was hot, hot, hot!

We are keeping Blake's dog Cassie this weekend while he is in a wedding in Charleston. This afternoon I went to check on her only to find out that she jumped our fence. I drove and walked around the neighborhood for what seemed like hours before I finally called Blake to break the news. Actually I texted Kaley and Blake called 3 seconds later.

While I was on the phone with Blake apologizing I began walking through a wooded path behind the pool. I called Cassie's name and she came flying out of the woods soaking wet. If a dog can smile, Cassie had the biggest grin imaginable. Apparently she spent the afternoon in the river. I didn't take a leash when I was walking because I didn't think I would actually find her on that wooded path. I tried to pull her by her collar, but she put the brakes on and refused to move. I finally just picked her up and carried her back to the house where I put her in my Jeep and drove her straight back to Blake's house.

Here is a picture of Cassie on the way to Blake's. I think she is glad to be home tonight. I quickly made the decision to just drive over to Blake's the remainder of the weekend to check on her. My dog sitting days are over.
