These are the things I really liked about her new school:
1- Her teachers have an Early Childhood Teaching Degree (same as me!)
2- They have a gym and computer lab and several playgrounds for each age range.
3- The thing that I really love is that they have a Junior Kindergarten Program. This program is for kids with late birthdays, just like B. In SC the cut off date for kindergarten is October, but B's birthday isn't until December. This means she wouldn't be able to start kindergarten until the following school year and she would turn 6 a few months into kindergarten. The Junior Kindergarten Program is for kids with bdays from November to Feb who miss that deadline. It is basically just like kindergarten. They do all the same things that B would do when she starts public school. Some of the kids are already reading by the time they go to public school, thanks to Junior Kindergarten! Pretty impressive! I love the idea of this instead of Brooklynn just staying in the same class and waiting for the following year to roll around.
Here is B in her new Goddard School shirt!
After lunch we went to the lake to feed the ducks, one of B's favorite activities.
Later on this afternoon, we went to the pool!
