Shocker

Tonight really started no differently than any other night. I took B upstairs to get her ready for a bath, I got her undressed and she ran to her bathroom shouting, "PP in the pot!" The only reason tonight was any different was because she actually went pp in the potty! I was so shocked and I am still shocked. In fact, I was too busy getting her bath ready that I didn't even realize she went until after her bath when I was cleaning up! Talk about a delayed reaction. I was so proud of her and she may not even know why Nick and I were so excited. So I guess I need to step up this potty training since she actually knows how it is used. Honestly, I don't really know where to go from here, but I did just get a potty dvd with songs for kids at the library earlier this week. I guess we'll start there tomorrow. Nothing makes going to the potty (or pot as B calls it) more exciting than a little singing and dancing.

Tonight Brooks and I are staying with Mimi and Pops because the air conditioning upstairs isn't working. It runs, it is just blowing around hot air at the moment. Nick has called the air people so hopefully they will come tomorrow. Luckily the downstairs is fine, but when we left tonight it was 86 degrees upstairs (where the bedrooms are located.) Poor B's room is hot to begin with and she has had a heat rash all summer on her back, neck and head from sleeping in her hot bedroom. Now that it isn't working anywhere upstairs, we are going to cooler places! Thanks, Pops and Mimi!
