18 Months

Today Brooklynn is 18 months! I'm shocked when I think about how much more she can do today than she could do even one month ago. Here are some examples of things she did just today that surprised me:

  • When coloring she found a picture of a frog, said "frog" and then picked up a green crayon to color it.
  • Mocking- Brooklynn mocks all of our actions from sighing to how I wear my sunglasses.
  • Words, words, words- Today while eavesdropping on Pops and Mimi's conversation she said the word, "Charleston."
  • Brooklynn will walk to her highchair when she is hungry and say, "Lunch."

B wouldn't let me get a good pic of her tonight. These are the best I could do.

This evening we had a neighborhood swim meet. We walked up to show Brooklynn all the excitment. Brooklynn was very intrigued. Every time the kids dove in to start a race she would shout, "UH-OH!" Here is a picture of Brooklynn shouting:

Thanks Mimi and Pops for buying B some new summer dresses for her bday (and for buying Mommy an outfit too!)
