Today was the day Brooklynn got her first hair cut. I was nervous about it for several reasons. First, Brooklynn is not a fan of strangers at the moment. She usually starts waving her hand in front of her face and shouting, "No, No, No!" when someone she doesn't know starts to speak. Occasionally she has made contact with a stranger's face if they lean in too closely. This, along with her screaming fits made me a little nervous, but I could put up with her out of control hair no longer.
This morning B took a three hour nap and woke up in a fabulous mood, so I called Mimi and we decided today was the day! We needed to stop by Strossner's first to order Nana's birthday cake and Mimi had the great idea of getting B cookies in case she got out of control. We decided on lemon shortbread, something new for B which might settle her if she became upset.
We got to the hair place and B had a great time running around, watching the tv and playing with all the fun kid things available. They finally called B back and as soon as I buckled her in the chair she started screaming! Lemon cookies to the rescue!!!
We kept feeding Brooklynn cookies the remainder of the time and before she knew what happened, she was finished.
Look at the cute little pink chair!
Brooklynn looked in the mirror, pointed to herself and shouted, "BB!"
AND THE FINISHED PRODUCT WITH A CUTE NEW BOW
