Great News!

I got a job today! Greenville County had a hiring freeze until the end of last week. One principal told me he had over 200 applicants for one position and there were only 11 positions in the whole county. Needless to say, I was pretty sure that my chances were slim. Today I got a call from a principal about a 4th grade position, I went in for the interview, and she offered me the position before I left! I feel so fortunate to have gotten a position! The school is Chandler Creek Elementary in Greer.

Tonight I took B to a luau at Nana's place. I came to the realization tonight that Brooklynn has officially hit her terrible twos a little early. She threw her cup across the floor several times, screamed and yelled and finally I took her outside and she ran from one side of the porch to the other and climbed on chairs for about 30 minutes. I think she is going to sleep good tonight.


Don't let this picture fool you. She sat in this position about 3 seconds before moving on the the next chair.

We ordered a couch last week for the playroom. I really was concerned not so much with looks, but with comfort. This couch, I'm sure will not be treated kindly if Brooklynn has anything to say about it. Unfortunately tonight Nick and Blake picked up the couch and tried to bring it upstairs. They couldn't get it through the door to the stairs. So now it is sitting in the dining room (since we have no dining room furniture yet) until we decide what to do with it. All sales are final and we learned a very valuable lesson: Homeowners should always measure.




Nick and his buddy Jason are currently taking off doors in an attempt to get it upstairs. We will see how this works out.
